I?m 16 and am in high school. As a hobby, i enjoy following business and economics. With the economy still somewhat unstable, and the dollar?s value erratic, i thought it would be a good idea to invest in something of material monetary value, such as gold. In a recession like this, the value of things such as gold skyrockets while the dollar inflates. I have a feeling the economy might fall back into a deep recession, due to numerous factors which i won?t go into now? If that?s the case, any gold i would have would skyrocket in value, and i could make a good profit!

Do you think this is a good idea to invest in gold? If so, how could i do so on the cheap end without brokers and all that? I have $ 60 to invest now, and $ 150 coming soon. I?m 16, would that prevent me from buying anything since i?m a minor?
